At present, Dr. Kumar is a Research Scientist at Texas A&M University (TAMU), Kingsville, USA, where is engaged in the forecasts of streamflow over Brazos River Basin, Tx during the extreme flood and drought events. Additionally, a part of lectures is assigned to teach in some semesters. To date, he taught engineering economics, data handling in environmental sciences, Fortran language, geometry, weather modeling and science in universities and schools. He has more than 20 years of research and educational experience from various world-known universities, e.g. FSU, TAMUCC and TAMUK. Dr. Kumar holds Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; a Master's Degree in Physics; another Master's Degree in Atmospheric Physics and Ph.D. in Physics/Meteorology from IITM, India and Pune University, India. Notably, Dr. Kumar has authored 45 scientific research works including three book chapters. I enjoy gardening, growing vegetables and fruits, and play all kinds of sports.
