Divisor – The number by which you are dividing in a division problem.
Example:
7 is a divisor of 42 because42 / 7 = 6, so we can say. It can also be said that 42 isdivisibleby 7, 42 is amultipleof 7, 7divides42, or 7 is afactorof 42.
The non-trivial divisors of 6 are 2, −2, 3, −3.
The positive divisors of 42 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 14, 21, 42.
