Posted By Ryan Duques

As the controversy of the Common Core Standards continues, teachers seem to think that parents do not understand what the standards are all about.

This is the finding of a recent study, conducted by TutaPoint during the month of September, 2014.

Respondents to the survey included veteran teachers from the northeastern U.S. The findings left little grey area: 95.5% of ¬†believed that parents do not understand what the Common Core is; 4.4% of the respondents said they weren’t sure if parents understood. None of the teachers thought that parents understood what the Common Core Standards were all about.
