Parents seeking to keep their children academically engaged over the upcoming December break have an option: Byron Academy’s Online STEM Camp.
During the class, which will run from December 27 – December 31, students will acquire skills like HTML computer coding, website design, graphic design introduction and more.
In addition to the curriculum, students will hear from the following amazing line up of inspiring speakers:
Juliette Dallas-Feeney will be speaking at the Byron Academy STEM camp on December 27. She is the Senior Social Media Manager at Birchbox, a leading beauty and grooming retailer, offering an efficient, personalized way to discover and shop for new products. Today, Birchbox operates in six countries, has more than 1 million subscribers, and over 800 best-in-class beauty, grooming and lifestyle brands in their e-commerce shop. Juliette oversees social media and content strategy for Birchbox’s US team, with a focus on acquiring and engaging followers across all channels. Prior to Birchbox, Juliette worked in digital media for health and beauty startups, and has broadcast media experience at CNN and MSNBC.
Eddie Sniezek is the co-founder of MUSX, a music-sharing mobile app that was featured in the iTunes App Store as a “Best New App” in 2014. Next year he’ll be joining Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, ranked #3 “Best Firms for Technology Law” and known for advising the IPOs of Apple, Twitter, Netflix & LinkedIn. Eddie holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering & JD of Law (expected 2016), both from UVA. Eddie will speak on December 28.
Maureen Coiro, who will speak on December 29
is Product Manager of MakerBot, the tech company heralded as leading the Next Industrial Revolution by setting the standard in reliable and affordable desktop 3D printing, scanning and entertainment. Maureen holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business.
Lilibeth Gangas is an Innovation Strategist at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she helps organizations build cultures of innovation and entrepreneurship, and creates new and distinctive products and services. A graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business and USC, Lilibeth brings to the table 7+ years of software development and management experience. Lilibeth will speak at Byron Academy’s Camp on December 30.
