I am a Mathematics Major in the Macaulay Honors at Brooklyn College. I graduated Yonkers High School at the top of my class and received that International Baccalaureate Diploma. As the valedictorian of my high school I have had the opportunity to work with and help several high school students. I understand how teachers think and how they grade. I also know that skill a student needs to get high scores on the regents, AP, and IB exams. I can easily explain complex ideas and can help students relearn the material they may not have understood from their teachers. When asked at the end of my eighth grade year to provide my career goals, I knew I wanted to teach high school students. At that time I was involved in all sports and wanted to be a physical education teacher. I began studying my first year of college to fulfull that goal. Life changes occur, and to make a long story short, I finally ended up preparing to teach mathematics and then Spanish. I have been teaching both math and Spanish classes to middle school and high school students for 21 years, and I still love teaching and the interaction with students.
