Subject: Algebra, the Five Step Rule
Hello algebra students!
Follow the five step rule!
Lets see if you can solve this problem:
3/4 + 4/5 = What?
1.) Seperate the fractions- 3/4 4/5
2.) Take the bottom numbers: 4 5
3.) Switch the numbers around 5 4
4.) Multiply each number by the top and bottom number of each fraction 5 x 3 = 15 (top) 4 x 4= 16 (top) 5 x 4= 20 (Make sure kids, you know your multiplication tables)
5.) Add the multiplied numbers up with top =top bot=bot and woolah you got your answer: 15+16= 31 (top) 20 +0= 20 (bot) = 31/20 !!! Thats it!! :)
